We are looking for members and volunteers for the PTSA! As some of you may know, the PTA is the largest and oldest advocacy association for children in America. In addition, the association provides access to programs, resources, grants and support for teacher’s students and their families. This year our goals are to continue the support of our teachers, provide enrichment, scholarship and nutrition resources to our students and lay a foundation for future success in the years to come. The PTSA is a place where you can form lasting relationships that will help shape the future of our success! There are currently 32 PTSA members. Please help PTSA reach our goal of 100 members!

LSA PTSA

We extend a warm welcome to all LSA families to join us for this year's spooktacular event!

Costume Contest Rules:

1. We kindly request that all participants adhere to the LSA Dress Code, ensuring a fun yet respectful environment.

2. Please be mindful that no weapons, whether real or fake, should be brought to the event.

3. To maintain a safe and friendly atmosphere, we kindly ask that no face coverings be worn during the event.

Students, staff, and parents are encouraged to dress up for Halloween. Costumes that would create a threat or disruption to the school environment and masks are NOT permitted. If face makeup is worn, your identity must still be evident to anyone who would need to check. Please do not make assumptions regarding your costume. Check to make sure it is permissible if you are uncertain. Administration reserves the right to ask for costumes or makeup to be removed if found offensive. We will have food trucks on campus.

We look forward to celebrating Halloween together in a memorable and enjoyable fashion! 🎃👻

In our bustling lives at Longleaf School of the Arts, it's important to remember the value of living a balanced life. We commend London Scott-Wells for her commitment to service as a greeter, embodying the spirit of our school community. Equally, a huge shoutout to Ms. Taylor for taking the initiative to get Mrs. Williams out of her office and enjoy a concert. **Only Juniors and Seniors are permitted to go off campus for lunch and have a student parking permit.

School attendance will always be of significant priority here at Longleaf School of the Arts. Not only is school attendance mandated by law, but we pride ourselves on being able to help our students prepare for college and the outside world through our 16-day force failure policy, which states that "in order for a student to receive credit for a class at Longleaf School of the Arts, the student must not be marked absent for more than sixteen (16) days per year." Please be aware that the school will send home letters for all documented absences, whether excused or otherwise noted. While we understand that circumstances beyond our control occur, we ask that you provide documentation to support any absences your student may have throughout the school year. All absences can be reported on the school website through the following link: REPORT AN ABSENCE. If you have any questions about attendance or the forced failure policy, please contact Mrs. Victoria Jones, LSA's school social worker.
