Recently, the Autism Alliance of Michigan shared information with providers on an app called Dani Plan.

A centralized hub to consolidate all information about caring for your loved one with special needs. Inspired by daughter Danielle, who has autism, Joel Pearlman created the Dani Plan. The site is simple, secure and easy to share. With the Dani Plan you can organize important information, store it in one place, and share it with trusted family, caregivers, doctors and more. And you can make it as unique as your child, with as much or as little information as you want. Completely customizable, the Dani Plan can host the following content: about me, key people, medication and therapies, behaviors and frustrations, daily routine and schedules, communication, education, and more. And because it’s protected by data encrypted technology and two-factor authentication, families get peace of mind, while loved ones get the respect and dignity they deserve. Parents are breathing a sigh of relief as

they input and upload all these important details.

Stay tuned for more news and signups for our next VIP Day on November 26th. VIP Day is a day for each child to bring a Very Important Person to Strive! Children can bring any VIP - parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, sibling! We ask that each child bring just one guest, unless their guest is a child under the age of 16, and then a parent is required to join.

We recently received an email with information on special needs financial planning workshops for families and a workshop on caregiver burnout. These topics may be of interest to our families, so we thought we'd share them here.

2025 Calendars are available now! There is a slight difference in the 2 buildings, so be sure to click on the calendar for the building your child attends.

As many parents are aware, Leigh Harter Speech Services is currently unable to service our Burton location for speech and Occupational Therapy, and is only able to provide speech services in our Brighton location. We are working with Thrive Therapy Center, out of Davison and Clarkston, to get these services back in each location. If you know of a good therapist, tell them to apply here to work with us! We will keep you updated when we hear more. Thank you for your patience.

Since we reintroduced Evey last week, let's meet another BCBA who spends her time in Burton!

Jessica has been leading the Strive Burton team since 2018. She began her work in the field as a Behavior Technician. She then worked as a Behavior Analyst doing both center based and in home with the Guidance Center’s Autism Program in Wayne County. As a BCBA, Jessica has worked in both Genesee and Oakland counties with EasterSeals.

Jessica has Master’s Degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology and completed her BCBA coursework though Eastern Michigan University.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, being with family and eating gluten and dairy free treats.
