If you have any questions or concerns with your student's progress, grades or their ability to access their assigned work, contact their teacher(s) or contact principal, Terry Keyser at keyser@hemlockps.com or (989) 482-3429. Don't give up .... We are here to help!!
Here are some different ideas for you to think about while helping your student stay motivated in doing school work from home........
Make sure you use the online resources available from the school (Huskie Hub), but also many other online resources are available as well for school related and outside of school interests.
Homework may not take all day to do right now, so students could use this time to pursue an interest they haven't had time to focus on in the past. Learning how to play the piano, how to dance, how to do a specific craft, what about cooking, drawing or building in Minecraft?? Youtube, Yoga, Go Noodle and many others are great at helping to keep them moving and learning at the same time.
What about getting outside to do their lesson?? The world is a science lab, so change it up and get out there!!
You may have tried these things already, but if not .... give it go. Have fun learning!!!

1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Seasoned Salt (Bohn Daddy's)
1/4 tsp Garlic granules or powder
1/2 pint Sour Cream
1 1/2 cups Mozzarella
1 1/2 cups Cheddar
Start dough recipe in machine. Combine all other ingredients in mixing bowl. Refrigerate. Cut dough into four parts and roll to 1/4 inch. Cut into 6 squares. Place spoonful of chicken mixture in center, brush water around edges, fold and crimp with a fork. Fry in 360 degree oil until deep brown. Makes about 24.
Basic Dough Recipe - Large Batch
10 oz Water 90-100 degrees F
4 cups Bread Flour
2 2/3 Tbsp Dry Milk (optional)
4 2/3 Tbsp Sugar
1 1/3 tsp Salt
4 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
2 2/3 tsp Active Dry Yeast
Add warm water to bowl. Add flour, dry milk, sugar, salt, butter and yeast. Mix until combined and then use dough hook to knead until dough pulls away from sides. Let rise until double, then punch down. Let rest 15 minutes then shape as desired.
Mr. Wilkowski's Spinach & Cream Cheese Chicken Breasts
2 Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 cup fresh Spinach, chopped into bits
2 oz Cream Cheese (softened at room temp) You can also microwave for 15-20 seconds
1/3 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/3 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat over to 400 degrees. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts. You can make a large slice in the chicken breasts (go for the side of the chicken breast that is thicker) horizontally to create a pocket without cutting through the breast. Combine the shredded spinach, cream cheese and shredded cheese in a bowl. Stuff the spinach and cheese mixture into the chicken. Season the chicken with McCormick's Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning, Kosher Salt and Pepper. Top with Paprika over the top. Bake for 20-30 minutes until the thickest part of each chicken breast reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Cut each breast in half to serve. Enjoy!!!
