We had a joyful month at Malta Ave! Take a look at some of our holiday photos below.

Malta Avenue Elementary School will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge during the week of January 27th - January 31st. The Great Kindness Challenge is a week devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible, creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, unity and respect.

Our winter Glow Party will be held on Friday, January 24th. We are excited for this fun event! Stay tuned for more details on our glow party!

On Monday, January 27th, we will be kicking off our Malta Ave Dance-A-Thon. This fundraising event will conclude with an in-school dance party on February 7th! The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for field trips, special guest speakers, classroom supplies, soft classroom seating, and so much more. More information will be sent home in the coming days.

On Wednesday, December 18th, we held our December schoolwide meeting. Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Johnson’s classes did a wonderful job planning and leading our meeting. During schoolwide meetings, we recognize our character education award winners for the month and introduce our character education word for the next month.

This month, we have two character education word of the month overall winners. Our winners are: Gio T. and Skyler G.Z. Congratulations Gio and Skyler! Thank you for exemplifying generosity and embodying the Malta Way! Gio and Skyler will be our Malta Man Sidekicks.

Our character education word for January is respect- Treating people the way you want to be treated.
