We are so excited to welcome our students back in the building! For the purposes of traffic, building capacity, and safety, we will be splitting our Meet the Teacher Night into two time bands. Please see below:

WHERE: Sunset Valley ES

TIME: 5:30 pm-6:15 pm, Grades K-2

6:15 pm-7:00 pm, Grades 3-5

*Parents with students in older and younger grades, please feel free to choose one time and bring your students to meet their teacher during that time! We cannot wait to see you!

SVES will be starting the school year differently with our Kinder friends. Kindergarten students will not be assigned a teacher to start the year, but will be assigned once we have an opportunity to get to know your kids. We refer to this process as a "soft start" and many Keller elementary schools are moving to this model. We believe that this will provide a much better placement for our Kinder friends.

We will begin accepting lunch visitors on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. ALL lunch visitors will be expected to follow the guidelines below:

• Visitors must bring a valid ID when they come to check in at the front office for lunch visits.
• Visitors must sit at a designated table with their student. Visitors may not sit at the classroom lunch table with their student.
• When the students lunch time is over, the student must line up with their class, and visitors must exit through the office.

Before school ended, students were given a Scholastic Workbook to help prevent the "Summer Slide" that students often experience after being out of school for 2.5 months. We are offering an incentive for students who bring their completed workbooks back to school. The first 100 students who return their workbooks will receive a coupon for a free Marco's pizza or cheesy bread. Thanks Marco's!

Only the first 100 students will receive the reward- Monday, August 19, 2024 is the last day to participate!

Please stay tuned for a specific email regarding our arrival and dismissal process. Traffic can be a little confusing at first, but once we get going it will work out well. Be patient with us during the first week or two so that we can get students safely in and safely out. Thanks in advance!

Keller ISD is currently accepting Free and Reduced Meal Applications for the 2024-25 school year online. Families who qualify for free and reduced meals must submit an application in order to secure free or reduced lunches for the upcoming school year. Visit SchoolCafe.com/KellerISD to apply.
