Smore for Students

A Smore is a multimedia newsletter that can easily be shared with others. Smores have different designs, colors, fonts, and backgrounds to make them unique to YOU!

Read all of the directions first and then follow the steps to create your new Smore!

You will to smore.com/students and click on the SIGN UP option on the right. Next, put in the code your teacher gives you so you are able to create a FREE Smore. Then, follow the steps to add your first and last name.

Next, you are going to be making a four-digit code. The code is your own unique code and should not be shared with others. Choose four digits that are NOT the same as four digits you use for other passwords or phone numbers. (You know...don't use the last four digits of your phone number). Think and be SMART about passwords. There are there to protect you! To learn more on how to make strong passwords (or pin numbers) watch the video below.

Once you have created your pin, click SIGN UP and then Start a New Flyer.

Now it's your turn! Click HERE or open a new tab or type smore.com/students. Follow the directions above and then toggle back to this screen to follow the next steps in creating your Smore.

You are going to create a Smore about something you LOVE! It can be a sport, a game, a hobby...anything!! Watch the video to see how to set it up.

Once you watch the video, go to your Smore tab and get started. Stop after you have created the title and design. Then come back to this page for more directions!

I know you just want to get started so this one will be quick! Smore is pretty easy to navigate once you get in. There are lots of options to try. To practice using Smore you need to:

• Add some text explaining why you chose the topic of this newsletter.
• Add some pictures (descriptions are optional)
• Embed a video
• Add a link to a site you think would be helpful when talking about your topic.

Watch the videos below to help you learn how to do these basic features. Explore a bit on your own to see if you can add anything else! As always, LEARN FROM EACH OTHER. Ask questions and take risks. Learn through trial and error.

Before you are ready to submit this, be sure to add to the author page at the bottom (check mine out below). Just a name, picture, and short bio are all that is required!
