NIGHT SHIFT
THANK YOU!
Many thanks to our friends and family who came out to support our 8th-grade class last weekend at the annual Harvest Supper. This event is one of our initial fundraising events for our class trip to Washington, D.C. in the spring. Thanks to your generosity, the class was able to raise over $5,500 toward their trip! We are grateful for your positive energy, and involvement as a community!
A NOTE FROM MR. LIBBY
PTA NEWS
Thank you so much to all of the students and families who raised money and ran hard at the Get Glowing Fun Run! The PTA is excited to continue our support of activities such as author visits, Chewonki presentations, middle school book club and math team, and field trips- and we could not do it without you! We are so excited to announce that our Fun Run raised a grand total of $18,400! Our top fundraising classes for each floor were:
First Floor: Tie between Mrs. Smith's and Mrs. Smenkowski's classes
Second Floor: Ms. Moran's class
Third Floor: Ms. Sinclair's class
Thank you again for all of your support!
The PTA will be meeting in the library media center at 6 PM on November 13th. We will be planning our annual Winter Tree Lighting event- we'd love to see you there!
STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM
This week the WCS Student Leadership Team attended Maine Youth Leadership Day at Hyde School in Bath. Students in grades 6-12 from across the state gathered to participate in workshops and explore how to further develop their own leadership skills. This year's theme was "The Courage to Dream." We are so proud of our students and can't wait to see how their leadership skills shape the world!
Things to Talk About
- HELP! Our Lost & Found is overflowing! Please stop by to see if anything belongs to your student. Any unclaimed or unlabeled items will be donated after Thanksgiving break.
