4. Help Us Keep Free Plastic Film Recycling Next Year!
Do you want our free plastic film recycling pick-ups to continue in the 2025-26 school year? Then consider joining Ridwell and helping us spread the word!
Last year, our school participated in a plastic film drive through Ridwell. Thanks to 10 new Ridwell sign-ups from our school community, we've enjoyed free Ridwell pick-ups of plastic film all year!
We now have the chance to extend this benefit for the 2025-26 school year — but we need your help. To keep the free plastic recycling pick-ups, we need 10 more families to join Ridwell by May 23rd. Families can sign up locally or in any area serviced by Ridwell — it all counts!
Please help us reach our goal by signing up or sharing our special McDonald sign-up page with friends and family.
Thank you for supporting our school and the planet!

Mac's Notes from McDonald International School
Mac's Message
31 MN 26 MF
Dear Scottie Families,
Thank you to Michiko sensei and Ms. Pollema for bringing Harmony Across Cultures to McDonald. Ms. Pollema facilitated learning of Sakura, Sakura for all Scotties who had the opportunity to sing to our guest performers. We enjoyed performances from Japan, China, and Mangolia.
We are engaging in continued learning in our common areas including the Scottie Cafe. Scotties are practicing waste management by sorting landfill, compost and recycling with the help of our Cafe attendants. We continue to find success together! We are grateful for Ms. Katie's work with our Scottie Way in the Scottie Cafe reminders which guides our learning.
We look forward to another great week together!
Sincerely,
Zoe Facilla
Plant and Seed Exchange
April 6, 1-3pm at McDonald International Playground. Free Plant and Seed Exchange. All are welcome to give away or receive plants. If you don’t have a plant to give away, no problem! If you are dividing your perennials or have some young plant starts to share, wonderful!!! This year, a few additional parents will lead some hands-on activities for learning about nature and recycling. Join us to celebrate nature and spring together!
