EXPECT FALL SPORTS WORKOUTS TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST OR SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL
TO BE A MEMBER OF AN ATHLETIC TEAM AT FMS EVERY CHILD MUST:
- Have a physical form completed by a doctor and handed in before team practices start. *Get a form on the FMS website under Athletics.
- Fill out the athletic contract on the FMS website under Athletics.
- Be academically eligible to play. That means that in the second semester (S2 in PowerSchools) of the 2023-2024 school year the student passed 3 out of 4 core classes (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies). *incoming 6th grade students are exempt from this rule in their first semester only.
- 6th grade students are not eligible to play football.
- Students interested in a sport will need to go to workouts when they are announced.
- STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNICATING TO PARENTS REGARDING ANY AND ALL PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS ACTIVITIES.
- PARENTS MUST ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION FOR STUDENTS WHO STAY AFTER SCHOOL TO PARTICIPATE IN ATHLETICS.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS MAKE SURE YOU GO TO A CHROMEBOOK EVENT - DON'T WAIT!
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- Go to one of the Chromebook events this summer (see the flyer below)
- Pay the $10 fee and sign the paperwork
- Pay the $26 fee and get the insurance/warranty so if your child breaks their Chromebook for any reason it will be covered by insurance. *optional, but totally worth it!
- Rising 6th grade students: go to the device event, take care of paperwork, and pay - YOU WILL HAVE A CHROMEBOOK WITHIN THE FIRST TEN DAYS OF SCHOOL.
- Rising 7th & 8th grade students: go to the device event, take care of paperwork, and pay - you will have your Chromebook ready to go and it WILL NOT BE TURNED OFF DUE TO NON-PAYMENT OF THE FEE.

6TH GRADE SUPPLY LIST
ELA: Notebook, index cards, thin tip dry erase markers, sticky notes
Math: 3 ring binder, notebook, graph paper
Science: Notebook, loose leaf lined paper, folder, glue sticks
Social Studies: Notebook, color pencils, two pocket folder, glue sticks
FOR ALL CLASSES: Multi-color highlighters (especially pink, blue, yellow), earbuds to use with Chromebooks, pens, lots and lots of pencils.
DONATE TO HOMEROOM: Tissues, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes
7TH GRADE SUPPLY LIST
ELA: 1 inch binder, loose leaf paper, index cards, small/medium sticky tabs
Math: 1 inch (clear front) 2 pocket binder, erasers, loose leaf paper
Science: Wide ruled 200 page composition book (glued, not spiral), 1 inch binder with 4 dividers, index cards, loose leaf paper
Social Studies: 1 subject notebook, folder, colored pencils
FOR ALL CLASSES: Multi-color highlighters (especially pink, blue, yellow), earbuds to use with Chromebooks, pens, lots and lots of pencils.
DONATE TO HOMEROOM: Tissues, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes
8TH GRADE SUPPLY LIST
ELA: Loose leaf lined paper, folder, composition notebook
Math: 2-3 spiral notebooks, loose leaf lined paper
Science: notebook, loose leaf paper, folder, glue sticks
Social Studies: 2 single subject notebooks, 2 folders
FOR ALL CLASSES: Multi-color highlighters (especially pink, blue, yellow), earbuds to use with Chromebooks, pens, lots and lots of pencils.

SUMMER BAND CAMP FOR 8TH GRADE STUDENTS AT FRANKLINTON HIGH SCHOOL
Dates:
Week 1: July 22-26 (8:00a-6:00p) *Time change from original
Week 2: July 29-Aug 2 (8:00a-6:00p)
August 2nd: Parent Preview & Scoops on Main
Gear and Instruments
1. Instrument(s): Ensure your instrument is in good condition, cleaned, and properly
maintained.
2. Extra Reeds/Valve Oil/etc.: Bring spare reeds (if applicable), valve oil (for brass
instruments), and any other necessary supplies.
3. Instrument Accessories: Such as a cleaning cloth, cork grease (for woodwinds), etc.
Clothing and Protective Items
1. Comfortable Clothing: During camp we spend nearly all day outside Lightweight and
breathable fabrics suitable for outdoor activities.
2. Closed-toe sneakers: (athletic/supportive) sneakers - no Crocs, Vans, etc
3. Sun Protection: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Hydration/Food
1. Water Bottle: The band will provide water. Bring a personal, refillable water bottle that
can be filled throughout the day. Staying hydrated is essential during these long, hot
days.
2. Lunch: pack a daily lunch
3. Snacks/extra snacks: The band parents are asked to help with donations of snacks,
however, if you have special dietary needs, or feel you will need additional snacks

Personal Care
1. Hygiene Items: Deodorant
2. Towel: For wiping sweat during breaks.
Miscellaneous
1. 1-inch Music Binder: Organize your sheet music and any handouts.
2. Notebook and Pencil: For taking notes or marking music.
3. Cell Phone and Charger: Stay connected (allowed during breaks).
4. Bug Spray
5. Medications: If you have any medical conditions, bring necessary medications.
