O. Garza Parent Newsletter
September 23, 2024
Dear O. Garza Families,
We are thrilled to welcome our students back to school and are excited for the learning and growth that lies ahead in 2025. The new year brings new opportunities, and we are eager to support each child in reaching their full potential.
Our teachers have been busy reviewing student data, preparing engaging lessons, activities, and experiences to keep students motivated and excited about their learning. As always, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels supported, challenged, and encouraged to succeed. In order for our team to work with your child, we need your help in making sure students attend school daily and on time.
Report cards have been sent home and teachers are contacting parents to share the latest on your child's progress. We are looking forward to a productive and exciting semester and appreciate your continued partnership as we work together to create a positive and enriching experience for all of our students.
Thank you for your support, and here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

ACADEMIES 3RD-6TH GRADE
What is the purpose of attending Academies?
Our teachers are using their benchmark data to work with your child on the skills that they did not master. This does not mean your child is failing. This means if your child's score went down, we want to provide them with the extra help to learn the skills they did not master. The teacher does not keep all students. They keep a small group of students to focus on what they need.
**Feel free to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions on why they are being recommended to stay for Academies.
