News for August 22, 2024
Dear Central Park Families,
I am excited for the 2024-2025 school year! Central Park staff cannot wait to welcome students and families back after what we hope was a great summer. We look forward to lots of hugs, smiles and connecting again as well as meeting our new students! At the end of last year we asked some students what they were looking forward to this year and it makes me all the more excited for this school year. Please enjoy hearing what students are looking forward to this year!
The 2024-2025 school year will be an incredible year for our learners. Please read through this important information below to help us have a smooth start to the year. I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, August 28, at Open House.

August 28- Back-To-School/Meet The Teacher Night
We will be hosting a Back to School Open House event Wednesday, August 28, and want to see YOU there! Come to meet teachers, see friends, drop off school supplies or pick up school supplies from community donations and register for Educational Benefits. Enjoy a snack, see your classroom and prepare for the new school year.
Kindergarteners and New Students - 3:00-5:30pm
1st-6th graders - 4:00-5:30pm
In the interest of spreading out, we suggest returning families with last names beginning with A-L come from 4:00-4:45 pm and families with last names beginning with M-Z come from 4:45-5:30 pm.
Classroom assignments will be shared by 11:00am on Seesaw as well as through an email Wednesday morning. There will be staff available to welcome you and look up your teacher at the Open House as well as guide you in finding where you need to go.
School Supplies
The following is the Central Park Elementary school supply list for the 2024-2025 school year. Please know these are suggestions for supplies. If your family would like support in getting supplies, we will have a table with staff ready to help you at our Open House on Wednesday, August 28. We have a number of community members and organizations who donate items and we are more than happy to make these supplies available to your child.
Planning Ahead
Two important notes:
School Hours are 8:55-3:20. Office hours are 8:00-4:00. We open up our doors at 8:45am each day. Due to supervision, we ask all students being dropped off and walkers to please not arrive before 8:45am. If child care is needed before 8:45 am, please contact Friendship Connection.
Children thrive on consistent schedules and getting enough sleep so starting before the first day of school can help everyone. Please consider helping your student prepare for school by getting into a routine of getting plenty of sleep, adjusting bed times to match the school schedule and reading.
Bus Information
Bus information will be mailed from The District Transportation Office the week before school starts. It will include the bus number, stop times and stop locations. The beginning of the year drivers are learning the routes so times may be off the first week or so. Bus routes do sometimes need to include changes being made over the first few weeks as well. We appreciate your patience as routes get established.
Changes in your family this summer? Contact school!
Summer can mean change for many families. Please contact the school office (651-481-9951) or click the button below, if you're moving and have a new address, new phone number and/or new school. We will make sure to update your student's records and make any necessary adjustments on this end. Thank you!
