Complete 2025 5Essentials Survey
The 5Essentials Survey is now open for responses through March 28th. The 5Essentials parent survey is intended to help school districts understand the conditions at each school and guide improvement. Parent identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will not be connected to their student(s). If at least 20 percent of families complete the survey, a parent supplement report will be generated for the district. To take the survey, visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ and select the appropriate survey to begin. Families can submit one survey for each child.

Thank you to the NPTO for providing the funding for this wonderful experience!

NPTO Website is LIVE!
The North NPTO Website is here! The NPTO does so much for the North community—fundraising, events, school programs, and countless initiatives—so it was time to create a space where parents could easily stay informed and get involved.
This site will serve as Husky Quest HQ, where you’ll find everything you need leading up to our biggest event in April 2025. But beyond that, it’s a resource for all things NPTO—committee opportunities, school happenings, and ways to support our students and staff. This is just the beginning, and we’ll continue improving the site as we go.

Savers Fundraiser: March 12-14th
Time to declutter! North Elementary’s annual Savers Fundraiser is happening soon! Drop off clothing, household items, and more at the U-Haul truck in the school parking lot from March 12-14, 3-5 PM. We accept most items, but clothing and linens bring in the biggest return for our school! Special thanks to U-Haul for donating the truck and Lowe’s for providing garbage bags—each student will be sent home with a flyer and a bag to help pack up donations! We also need volunteers to help unload at Savers—email d47npto@gmail.com if you can help!
The Quest is Coming… Are You Ready? 🐾

STAR Reading Volunteers Needed!
Our STAR Reading program is looking for more volunteers! Parents can spend time reading one-on-one with students, encouraging a love of reading in the classroom. Some classrooms still need support, and we’d love to fill those spots! Volunteers can help weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
Open slots include:
Multiple openings in Lopez, Nava, Ferguson, Meyer, Margiotta, Cue, and Sromek’s classrooms! If you’re already a STAR Reader, we’d love for you to consider helping out in another classroom or grade level that could use extra support! If you’d like to help, contact Lauren at laurenvbacke@gmail.com. We’d love to have you!
