Dear Osgood Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend, and got the chance to thank a Veteran for their service to our country. It is hard to believe that the middle of November has arrived, the next few months are very busy in school and I am sure it is busy at your home as well . As we move closer to the this holiday season we should try to remember that children respond better to situations and make strong positive choices when a ritual or strong structure is in place for them, unpredictable situations make everyone uncomfortable . In school the day is filled with many exciting activities and connections to learning, these connections are made throughout the day. In literacy we are reading stories about appreciating the different types of families that people may have, sharing and giving thanks to our friends and family members and what it means to be part of a community. In math we are continuing in all grades to sharpen our numeracy skills.
We are approaching the 50th day of school this Thursday, we will be acknowledging this day with 50's music and attention to the number 50.
As you all know, it is very important for children to be in school all day, so that they do not miss any important information and learning that happens throughout the day in every class.
Please remember, if you are dismissing your child to send in a note with the child's name, teacher and who will be picking up the student.
