Working together; succeeding together.
The Truth About Silver Medals
We did not get the outcome we would have liked at Hoopla this year. Once again, we will be leaving the gold medal in Moose Jaw. That being said, our boys have nothing to be ashamed of. The 2024 Sr. Boys Basketball Team; Kayden, Earl, Gavin, Jeremy, Trayce, JR, Luis, Medrick, and Coach Bloski, have achieved something that no other basketball team has achieved in the history of our school, they were ranked #1 in the province.
This did not happen by chance, or by luck. It happened when a group of amazing young men gave 100% and remained laser focused on their goal. It happened because that same group of young men gave completely of themselves to the team, they left all selfishness and self centred feelings behind and thought only of their team. It happened because of sacrifice, sacrifice of time and energy. Giving up other things in their lives to focus on their goal. It happened because of an undying commitment to excellence and acceptance of nothing less. It happened because a coach was willing to share his knowledge, his wisdom, and especially his passion; he was willing to inspire the team to be more than they ever thought they could be.
It was not lightning in a bottle, it was not fate, chance or luck. It was the inevitable end to 100s upon 100s of hours of dedicated work and commitment. For that reason, the 2024 Sr. Boys Basketball team should be extremely proud of what they accomplished.
I want to extend my deepest appreciation and admiration for all that the 2024 Sr. Boys Basketball team has achieved. They have elevated athletics within our school to levels never before achieved, they have been and continue to be role models for our students. Your contributions to our school community are many and long lasting. To coach Bloski, I want to extend my gratitude, you have given deeply of yourself to give our students the opportunity to reach for the stars, and they have done so. You have developed and implemented a program that is second to none, the proof is in the results. Thank you all for an amazing season, hold your head high, job well done
Can You Guess What I Am
Each week, Mr. Mielke will post a pic of a strange object. Submit your answers of what you think it is to ppcs@nesd.ca. All the correct answers will be put into a draw for a weekly prize.
Last weeks item was typewriter ribbon, the winner was Grace Ponce.
Can you guess this week's item?

We Need Egg Cartons
Mrs. Patching is hoping that our families would have some paper egg cartons that they would be willing to donate to the school. We will use these cartons to allow the students to get their eggs home after they have dies them. Thank you in advance. Egg cartons can be dropped off at the office.

Volunteers and Athletes of the Month
Faye Pascual
Faye has been a part of the score table at all of our Sr. Boys games to handle the duties of shot clock. She is dependable, willing to learn and has an accurate thumb on the switch. Thanks Faye for all of your help with Bears Athletics.
Athletes of the Month
JR Antazo
JR stepped up at our home tournament playing some great defense and pushing the pace of the game. He is back in full form to slicing and dicing through the defense attacking the rim or popping out to knock down an open 3. Great month JR and good luck down the stretch.
Venna Kiehn
Venna has emerged as a very skilled player on the curling ice. She executes great shots yet always seems to be having fun and encouraging others. She has been a huge help with new players and being a role model for her team and the sport. You rock Venna.

Check Your Punch Card Balance
Please note, as we get used to this new system, please be aware that punch card balances may be up to 1 week behind.
Once you click the link below and find your child's account number, you will see a number to the left of their account number (i.e. 17). That number will not change, so you only have to remember that number going forward.
We hope that this will help our families.
