THAT WYLIE BUGLE 10/14-10/20
FALL BREAK|REHEARSALS|THURSDAY GAME|UIL MARCHING CONTEST
BOA WRAP UP
Fantastic performances at BOA Prosper yesterday! We have not attended a local BOA Regional since 2018...and we didn't do so well and didn't make finals. 5th Place in prelims and 6th Place in finals is pretty darn great for our first contest. Most of the groups attending had already competed the previous 2 weekends. This event was more stacked with great bands than that one. 8 State Qualifiers from last year, 2 out of state who have won their state championships...what a bunch of GREAT programs and performances and you are among the TOP!
There were MANY MANY great bands who did not make finals, so be proud of your performance and the show we have curated for you this year. Let's see how far we can take this!
I am pretty sure we were the only band who was in finals who is on a traditional bell schedule and not a block schedule...what's the difference?
Block Schedule: 90 min daily class time x 40 class days = 60 hours of instruction during the school day.
Traditional Schedule: 50 min daily class time x 40 class days = 33.3 hours of instruction during the school day.
So...we are pretty efficient! Get some rest and we will make everything COME TOGETHER even more on Thursday as we make changes and elevate/maximize performance quality for UIL and Duncanville.
Judge comments from finals have been uploaded to the Band App.
