This is the last newsletter for the 2023-24 School Year. We have enjoyed your students and look forward to seeing what the future holds for them. To our 8th graders, good luck as you move on to high school in the fall! To our 7th graders, it is your turn to lead and we know you are ready to welcome the 6th grade to FMS!

We are always looking to improve here at FMS. Please take the time to fill out this short anonymous survey on your experience this school year. Students will be filling out their own survey so please fill this out based on your thoughts as a parent/guardian of FMS.

FMS Final Exam Schedule

This is your friendly reminder that all medications, both prescription and over the counter must be picked up by a parent by June 6, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Medications that are not picked up by June 6 will be disposed of appropriately. Please contact glazierr@freelandschools.net with any questions regarding this.

Any items that are not claimed from the Lost and Found Rack by the last day of school (June 7) at Noon will be donated. Please remind your students to look through the items this next week - we have an impressive collection of water bottles!

We will be collecting Chromebooks during the final exams days. Chromebooks will be scanned in, chargers will be collected, and they will be put in a bag to be stored for the summer. It is important that your student lets the tech crew know if there are any damages that need to be repaired over the summer so it is good to go when it is checked back out to them on the Open House night. Please reach out with any questions you may have regarding this process.

We hope to see all of our 2024-25 Students at our Open House on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Students will be able to get their schedules, try out their lockers, check out Chromebooks, meet their teachers and more on this evening. It will also be Picture Day during the Open House and we will send out more information regarding this at the beginning of August.

This is the suggested supply list for next school year. Please refer to this when you are doing your back-to-school shopping.

• Please use our website to find the Daily Announcements, Absent Work, and many other items throughout the school year. We will continue to improve the content that is found on the website each month.

• Please follow Freeland Community School District on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) for information and fun posts about our students and staff throughout the year. If you are not a social media fan, the same information will be found on our website in the live feed.

• Use Skyward for keeping track of your student’s grades, attendance, etc.

FMS is still selling Falcon clog charms to support our SOAR program. They can be purchased in the middle school office and the cost is $5 a charm.

Our Student Leadership Class sells spirit wear throughout the entire school year. The clothing is not specific to the middle school and all proceeds go to Student Leadership to support fun activities at FMS for all of our students.
