Second Grade Plan
Erpenbeck Elementary Non-Traditional Instruction
Message to Students
Message to Students
For the next few weeks, you will be doing school work from home. Our superintendent made this decision because he wanted to keep all of you safe and healthy, as there is a virus going around the world, and it could spread less if people stay home for a while. Right now, you may be doing your work from home for a few weeks. If the virus stops spreading, then we may be able to come back sooner!
We will make sure that you are still able to learn even though you won’t be in your physical classrooms for a little while.
Today, and in the days ahead, we expect our students to be examples of respect, responsibility and safety! We know you can show your Mustang pride no matter where you are!
We know for some of you it may be sad to think you won’t be able to see your friends or your teachers in your class for a few weeks. Feel free to take a journal and write letters to them while we are apart. When we return, you can give them those letters!
We look forward to working with you in a new and exciting way, and we also look forward to having you back in our school as soon as we can!
Message to families
I wanted to send you an update on Erpenbeck's plan regarding implementing the Non-Traditional Instructional days starting Monday, March 16th.
One thing that is important to remember is that these are not considered snow days. These are actual instructional days, just like the students were at school. However, the instruction is delivered in a non-traditional way. This means students are learning remotely (not at school) through digital tools or pre-arranged papers, packets and books given to the students.
No students are allowed in the building starting Monday, March 16th.
This 2nd grade team has outlined their plan below.
I understand this is a tough situation, as it is something we have not experienced before. It may be overwhelming for you as we work through this together. Please know that you are never alone in this journey. Our teachers will be available every day during school hours to communicate with students and caretakers to help support the work. Please feel free to reach out or encourage your student to reach out with any questions on work or standards.
At this time, all field trips, clubs and extra-curricular activities must be suspended until further notice.
I appreciate in advance your patience and understanding as we continue to work diligently with the state team, the district team and our team at Erpenbeck to ensure the students' needs are met as we navigate this situation together.
THE BEST WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE 2ND GRADE TEACHERS IS THROUGH EMAIL.
