It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the school year. There is a lot going on during the month of May including our school carnival, 8th grade graduation, and end of year BBQ. These events are a fun way for everyone to gather and appreciate our incredible school community.
As we close out the year, we have a lot to celebrate including impressive growth for students. I am seeing the positive results of their hard work.
As always, it is an honor to be a partner in your child’s education. I wish you all a very safe and healthy summer! We look forward to seeing you next school year! Have a wonderful summer!

Superintendent's Message
Dear Panther Families,
As we wrap up the 2023 - 2024 school year, I’d like to take this opportunity to give thanks to our amazing staff. Over the course of this year, they have adapted and overcome a multitude of situations; tackling the uncertainties that surrounded this year with dedication and determination. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have had such a successful year with such a fantastic group of professionals.
In addition, I am extremely proud of the grit and persistence shown by our students in grades 3-8 during the State Testing during the month of April. Their “I got this!” attitude and their ability to maintain a positive attitude were amazing and inspiring. We are so proud of you!
On May 1, Mrs. Rau had the privilege of escorting one of our fifth-grade girls to the annual YMCA Leadership Luncheon and award ceremony. The YMCA Principal's Leadership Award is designed to honor students who excel in academics, service, leadership and community involvement.
Joined by her mother and father, Heather and Mark, we recognized and awarded Annabelle Wilmot for her outstanding leadership contributions to our school and community. I couldn't be more proud of Annabelle! Nominated by her teacher, here is what they had to say:
"Annabelle is an amazing student who is both academically and socially gifted. Annabelle is the type of student who is willing to help out in any situation and does it with a sile on her face. Her peers look to her as a true leader and know that she is someone who can be trusted, no matter what. Annabelle also has a zest for learning and always wants to learn more. She is driven to dive deeper into her questions and share her knowledge with the class. Annabelle is just an all-around great kid, and Pioneer is extremely fortunate to call her "ours"!"
Keep up the good work, Annabelle!
This year has brought about so many stories of success for our students, our staff, and our Panther community. We were so excited to be able to offer a few of our community events again; gathering for Stone Soup, the Christmas program, and hosting the Science Fair. We look forward to being able to accomplish even more next year!
Now, as we enter into May, we are gearing up for the end of this school year. Our teachers are wrapping up their grade-level units and exploring new opportunities for student learning outdoors. It is an incredibly busy month and I encourage everyone to make sure you continually check your school calendar in addition to our school Facebook page and website! You don't want to miss out on any of the fun that there is to be had in this last month!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schnitzmeier
