EJMS Families,

We hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend and restful Labor Day. We had a very smooth week of iReady testing and appreciate how hard students tried on the first diagnostic test.

Back to School Block Party (EJMS version of Open House) - Wednesday, September 4th

We hope you can join us on Wednesday, September 4th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM for the Back to School Block party (EJMS version of Open House)! We will have food available (thank you to our PTO to provide this free for everyone who attends) and the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and get important information for families. We also hope to make this a social event with games, activities, and a food truck. Feel free to come anytime during the two hour window. It will be very informal, but a great chance to put a face with your child’s teachers and hang out with other families.

We had a great turnout for our PTO meeting! If you have not already signed up for the Kroger community rewards program this is an easy way to help generate some money for our PTO. If you previously signed up for another school you can easily transfer to the account. See below.

EJMS National Junior Beta is looking for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are passionate about service, leadership, achievement, and character. Junior Beta is a chance to share artistic and academic talents and skills as well as an opportunity for growing as student leaders through weekly chapter meetings, state and national conventions, and so much more. Find out more about joining Beta from one of our sponsors at the EJMS Block Party: Sheena Roller will be with the Arts team, Carrie Mahagan-Kinkade and Victoria Grillo will be with the eighth grade teams. There will be a student and parent interest meeting next Wednesday, Sept. 11.
