Important Lunch Visitor Information
Please Read
At Taylor Elementary, we truly value the strong connection between parents and our school community. Your involvement plays a vital role in your child's success, and we appreciate your support. Please see below for important updates regarding lunch visitors.
Due to space restrictions and scheduling constraints, beginning Tuesday, October 15th, parents will only be able to join their children for lunch on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
On Wednesday, October 10th students will not be eating in the cafeteria. Because of this, we kindly ask that parents refrain from joining their children for lunch on that day.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and look forward to welcoming you back for lunch visits on another day.
As you prepare for your visits, please remember we follow strict guidelines regarding safety and security by visitors producing identification when entering the building.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Week of October 21 & 25
We are looking forward to our Parent-Teacher Conferences during the week of October 21-25, 2024. This semester, we are using PTCFast to sign up for conferences. The sign-up for conferences will open October 9 at 9 am. The conference sign up period will end on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Please make sure you watch Parent Square for an email with the link or you can check the Taylor Elementary school webpage on October 9th.
We hope you all can attend! Parent/teacher conferences are a great opportunity to connect with teachers, check in on your child’s progress, celebrate their growth, and team up with their teacher to support them even more. We love partnering with our parents, and your involvement really makes a difference. Don’t miss this chance to have a meaningful conversation about your child’s learning.
Early Release Information
Taylor students will be dismissed at 12:50 pm on Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October, 24th. Please be sure to note these important schedule changes. The lunch schedule does change and students may eat in their classrooms. Due to space limitations, we request you do not join your student for lunch either of those days.
Please Note: No student checkout after 12:15.
Morning Car Rider Drop Off Expectations
For the staff at Taylor to ensure a safe and efficient car rider line, please help us by doing the following:
- Follow the flow of traffic (see map below)- do not attempt to move or go around cones
- Drive slowly though the parking lot and stop at all stop signs
- Make sure your child has all of their items together and are ready to exit the car when it is their turn
- Have the child locks off the doors so students can open the doors themselves
- Students should exit on the right side of the car closest to the sidewalk
- Say your goodbyes in the car- please stay in your car unless you need assistance
- If you do need assistance from one of our car rider staff, please roll down your window and let us know- we will be happy to help
- Adhere to the car rider times- 8:15-8:35
- If you arrive after 8:35, please park in a visitor space and walk your child all the way inside- children must be escorted all the way in to ensure their safety
