We are very THANKFUL for all of you!

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024 and Wednesday, November 20, 2024 all students and staff participated in a safety drill during Panther Times both days. The students and staff did an excellent job in taking this seriously, having meaningful conversations about difficult topics, and talking through how to navigate serious safety events.

I would like to celebrate:

• Students and staff for executing a great safety drill.

• The 8th grade staff for coordinating an opportunity to experience “A Christmas Carol” at The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

• We have had several middle school students who are going above and beyond to welcome new students to our middle school. As we welcome new students to our school we will be identifying strong students in each grade that I will work with on training in ways we want to bring on board our new students.

• The many generous donors in our community that are continually supporting.

As we get into the cold and flu seasons and asking more substitutes to come into school and work with our staff, please take this time to have a conversation about how students can be helpful, respectful, patient, and give grace to those who are willing to come in when our regular staff cannot be here. This is a tough job and we are very thankful for those who come in to work with our students. This is an opportunity for us to be helpful and showcase how great the students at Durand-Arkansaw Middle School truly are!
