Problem behaviors can lead to feelings of frustration for everyone involved. It is important to recognize that we can increase positive behaviors by focusing on the behaviors we want to see more often. This session will provide an overview for decreasing problem behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors in the home environment. There will be a focus on strategies for increasing positive behaviors through the use of reinforcement strategies.

Did you know that AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication? These terms mean that the "device" is meant to supplement and also provide another way to communicate. Devices come in all shapes, sizes, and even different colors! Strategies will be provided to support staff with teaching students using an AAC device.
