January was an eventful month....many things happened.

The first thing that happened was Sonic 3 was released on December 20th (not in January but still pretty cool). As of writing this, I have not watched the movie yet, but I may have watched it by the time everyone is seeing this. All I know is that the movie is based on the game, Sonic Adventure 2. Jim Carrey returned to reprise his role as Eggman (or Dr. Robotnik) and Keanu Reeves is playing Shadow, the Hedgehog, (the ultimate life form).

Second, there is a new show releasing on January 29th on Disney Plus. It is called Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man, and it is based on the original Spider-Man comics. It features a cel-shaded animation style.

Finally, this may not be in January, but it is exciting and I am genuinely excited about it! The Minecraft movie is going to be released in theaters on April 4th. It features Jack Black as Steve and also stars Jason Momoa.

All in all, January and some other winter months are going to have very interesting events happening.

Did you know that there are 31 National Days in January? However, not many people are aware of them.

On January 17th, it's Classy Day!.

On January 18th, it's Winnie the Pooh Day!

On the 19th, it's National Popcorn Day, and on the 20th, it's Cheese Lover's Day.

You might even consider dressing up for one of these theme days, as long as it's appropriate for school.

Now you know a few National Holidays in January!

My favorite holiday food is holiday cookies. Some other popular holiday consumables are holiday fruitcakes, eggnog, peppermint bark, and more. Holiday food is always more enjoyable when you’re eating next to close family or close friends.

On Martin Luther King Day, many people volunteer as part of their celebration.

Here are some volunteering ideas:

1. Donate money to charity.

2. Help out a neighbor.

3. Volunteer at your local library.

4. Plant a tree.

5. Volunteer at your local animal shelter.

6. Do a good deed. Anything. Open a door for an old lady, help someone put groceries in their car, walk someone's pet for free, etc…

7. Just smile at someone. Just one smile can make someone's day.
