Concord Elementary School - Sept 1, 2024 (Week 3)
Concord Core Values: Inclusion in the Art world
All students reviewed/read the book “The Dot” the first week of school. The Dot is a wonderful picture book that encourages children to try new or challenging things, to explore their creativity and to have confidence in their abilities. “Just make a mark and see where it takes you."
Mrs. Goedde brought this book to life and had our students join in the fun. Each student created a dot using their favorite color to be on display in an all-school masterpiece.
Did you Hear? Concord is Introducing a School Motto!
Concord Families,
We are excited to introduce our new school motto at Concord Elementary School! Our motto, "Empathy and Kindness, Inclusion's the key. At Concord, we're accountable and show integrity. Go Flyers," captures the core values that define our community: empathy, kindness, inclusion, accountability, and integrity.
Having a school motto helps unify our school community by providing a common language and set of expectations for everyone. It serves as a daily reminder of the values we strive to uphold, fostering a positive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive. We look forward to embracing our new motto together and watching it guide our actions throughout the year!
Thank you for your support!
Brian

Important Reminder for Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
Dear Concord Families,
To ensure the safety of our students and crossing guards, we need your cooperation during drop-off and pick-up times. Our parking lot has two lanes for traffic flow:
- Left Lane (nearest the building): This lane is for making a left-hand turn when exiting our lot.
- Right Lane (nearest Concord School Rd): This lane is for making a right-hand turn when exiting our lot.
Please make sure to use the appropriate lane for your intended direction. Following these guidelines helps keep our traffic flow smooth and safe for everyone. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping us maintain a safe environment for our students!

2024-25 Student Board Representative Advisory Group - Apply Today!
Hello! My name is Lara Pimentel and I am serving as the Student Representative for Lindbergh’s Board of Education for the 2024-25 school year. Representing students from across our district is important to me because I want to ensure that students get a say in their education experience. That is why I am looking for students currently in grades 4-8 to participate in next year’s Student Board Representative Advisory group.
Each month, I will visit a different school in the district and talk to a small group of students. These short meetings take place during the school day for elementary schools, and directly after school for middle schools. In these meetings, I ask questions to the group of students and gather feedback regarding their experiences at Lindbergh. We look at what our schools are doing well and which areas could be improved upon.
From there, I share key information with the Board of Education and provide suggestions on ways to address student concerns.
So, if you are interested in representing your classmates, please fill out this form before Friday, Sept. 6!
