Dear KCSD96 Community,

As we approach the end of August, we want to take a moment to reflect on our first month of school and share how things have been going.

Students across the district have settled into their routines and are thriving in their classrooms. It’s been wonderful to see them engaging with the curriculum and starting to build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates.

Some calendar items to make note of this upcoming September:

• Labor Day: September 2nd (No School)
• Early Release Day: September 17th

Kildeer Countryside School District 96

All parents/guardians interested in having their student attend the Early Childhood Blended Preschool Program must attend a screening prior to enrollment. Screening is by appointment only. To arrange an appointment, call the Willow Grove Early Learning Center at 847.541.3660. Preschool screenings are conducted at the Exceptional Learners Collaborative, 990 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.

This week, students across the district completed their fall MAP assessment. We'd like to give our students and staff a HUGE shoutout for their focus, dedication, and hard work. We are so proud of you!
