Dear KRS families,

There was music in the air this week! On Tuesday, the Kings Road School chorus, band, and orchestra, performed during the day for students and staff and in the evening at the Madison Junior School for families. The student musicians were exceptional! Thank you to directors Mrs. McEachern (chorus), Mrs. Quinlan (orchestra), and Mr. Rossi (band) for their direction of three fabulous ensembles!

Please check your child's backpack today for you child's Star assessment reports (Grades 1-5) or CBM assessment reports (kindergarten).

Star and CBM Reports

Star Reading and Math assessment reports for students in grades 1-5 will be sent home via your child's backpack today. CBM assessment reports for students in kindergarten will be sent home via the kindergarteners' backpacks today.

NJSLA State Testing - Fifth Grade Science and 3-5 Make-Ups - Week of May 20, 2024

The KRS fifth graders will complete the NJSLA Science Assessment on Monday, May 20, 2024 and Tuesday, May 21, 2024. NJSLA make-up testing for grades 3-5 ELA and Math will begin next week.

Fifth Grade Celebration and Coach Stroker - June 14, 2024

The KRS Class of 2024 Fifth Grade Celebration Ceremony will take place on June 14, 2024 at 9:30 AM on the black-top behind the school. The ceremony will focus on celebrating every KRS fifth grader as special, contributing, individuals. The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour and the fifth graders are expected to remain at school for the duration of the school day.

This year on the day of the Fifth Grade Celebration, we have a very special afternoon planned for our soon to be sixth graders. With great thanks to the KRS PTO, Coach Stroker will visit to speak to the fifth graders. Coach Stroker is an excellent inspirational speaker for children and adults. We are thrilled that he will be presenting to inspire and empower the fifth graders as they prepare to transition into the next chapter of their educational journeys.

We are looking forward to celebrating our 2024 Fifth Grade Class!
