Congratulations to PDCMS Teachers of the Year!
Congratulations to Ms. Ginny Foster! This is Ms. Foster's 39th year teaching at PDCMS. Ginny has always been a positive and enthusiastic leader on our campus. She contributes to Charter Coalition, the Tier 1 team, and our AVID team. She is a fantastic Science teacher whose passion for her curriculum is shared daily with her students. Thank you Ginny for always representing the best that is PDCMS!
And congratulations to Dr. Andrea Coffey! This is Mrs. Coffey's second year at PDCMS. She has jumped right into our staff as ASB advisor this year. She brings innovative and creative teaching methods to her 7th grade Humanities team. She also earned her doctorate this year from Indiana University. Thank you for all you do to support student voice and literacy on our campus!
Congratulations PDCMS Battle of the Books Team!
Congratulations to our record-breaking Battle of the Books team for their 6th consecutive victory at the DSUSD Battle of the Books competition! Shout out to coaches Mrs. Davis-Kirchhevel and Ms. Girten and our student champions:
- Prachi Amin
- Sophia Hoang
- Sophia Jimenez
- Emma Valovic
- Margot Clerc
More Congratulations in order...
Three teams of Esports students from our Bridges program competed in a district-wide tournament. Our teams were defeated in the second round, but only after they had conquered half the teams in the field. Win or lose, all of our players exhibited great sportsmanship and showed their Panther PRIDE! Mr. Munksgard was especially proud to see this when we were losing matches, or facing toxic players. Weβve already started strategizing for next year so we can bring the traveling trophy to PDCMS.

Fuel Up Smoothie Bike Day!
Our Fuel Up students made their smoothies during PE. They peddled the bike to power the blender!
A big thanks to Ms. Fecera for making the "food" part of the smoothie bikes happen.
Break a Leg!
Our very own PDCMS Winter Guard Team is traveling to Ohio to compete in Winter Guard Internationals. They will be the only middle school competing with high schools and colleges.

Project Name: Pastel Animal Portraits
With guidance from Ms. Jarden her art students began a colorful journey into the world of pastel animal portraits. From delicate strokes to vibrant hues, each stroke of pastels brings to life the unique personalities of each portrait. Through the process our students honed their artistic skills and techniques.
