Celebrating a Happy Year + Wishing You a Great Summer
As we wrap up this incredible school year, I want to express my gratitude. You all contributed to making my first year at Avoca SD 37 a success!
To our students, thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm. Parents and caregivers, your smiles and support have meant a lot to me. And to our teachers and staff, your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Each one of you has made me feel welcome in my new home. I appreciate you!
I hope you all have a fantastic time this summer. Whether it's relaxing, exploring, or spending time with loved ones, please enjoy every moment. I know that we will all be ready and refreshed to do it all over again in August.
For now, enjoy this last edition of the Superintendent's Corner. It contains celebrations and resources that I hope you find helpful. Within the next week, I will also be sharing additional information with our Avoca families and community on the next steps on the post-referendum community engagement plan. I will be sharing this update via email and on our website.
Once again, have a terrific summer. May the next few months be a wonderful collection of memories for years to come!
Best wishes,
Dr. Sandra Arreguín

Transportation + Instructional Fees
If your student will be taking the bus to school next year, please be sure to pay your bus fees by June 30 to take advantage of the lower fee amount. Existing families that have not registered and paid either in full or made a partial payment by July 22, 2024, will not be able to add bus service until September 9, 2024. This cutoff date will enable us to finalize bus routes and upload them into PowerSchool in a timely manner. Click here for more transportation information.
Instructional fees are due by September 15 for the lower fee amount.
Camp Galileo 😀
Summer is right around the corner! We know many families are still looking to fill gaps in their summer schedules—here's a quick reminder why Camp Galileo is an awesome choice:
New hands-on projects for 2024 give kids a different adventure every week
Extended care lasts as long as your day: 8am–6pm
Classic camp fun makes every day magical with fun machine runs, silly skits, rubber chicken cheers, and more
Innovation skills like determination, resilience, and collaboration grow at camp and last long after summer ends
Use code GALILEOCHI24 to save $40 per week at Galileo-Camps.com.
Policy Committee: Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed!
