Message From The Principal

Greetings Carroll Community,

We had a wonderful week of school spirit on campus with our Tigers, culminating in a huge victory against the Ray Texans at Buc Stadium! What made that night even more special was the participation of our elementary students - our cheer camp participants and our future Tiger cheerleaders - who performed alongside our current squad. We also celebrated Middle School Band Night, and it was great to see future Tigers from Grant and Tom Browne sharing the field with our band.

This upcoming week is focused on preparing for a ceremony to honor the military veterans of the Mary Carroll High School community. On Monday, November 11th, at 11:45 AM, we will proudly host a special Veterans Day ceremony. This year, we are introducing some new elements, and we would love your help to make this event even more meaningful! Here’s how you can participate:

1️⃣ Share Veteran Photos & Information: We’re collecting digital photos and details about the veterans in our community. If you or someone you know is a veteran, please complete and/or share our Carroll High School Veterans Day Recognition Form. With this information, we’ll create star displays ⭐ showcasing our veterans’ service and stories.

2️⃣ Invite Veterans to Attend: We warmly invite Carroll Community Veterans to RSVP and join us for the ceremony and a reception on November 11th. 🎖️RSVP info details are provided below—please help us spread the word! We look forward to honoring our veterans on campus and celebrating their service with our Carroll family and community. Thank you for helping us recognize those who have served! Points of Emphasis and Reminders

🚙 Sames Attendance Incentive Program - Win a Vehicle!🚙

CCISD launches the 2024-25 Sames Attendance Incentive Program and will reward CCISD high school students for maintaining perfect attendance every six weeks. Prizes are provided through a partnership with Sames Auto Group.

Eligibility: CCISD high school students
Attendance Criteria: Students having perfect attendance each six weeks.
Grand Prize: One lucky high school student meeting the criteria will win a brand-new 2025 Bronco Sport
Additional Prizes: Other prizes will be awarded to students who are finalists.

How it works:Students with perfect attendance can go to Sames with a parent or guardian to drop off their voucher. The certificates will be secured in a box accessible to Sames. At the end of the year, qualifying students will be randomly selected as finalists, who must attend a mandatory parent meeting. During the grand finale, one finalist will receive an envelope with a car picture, indicating they have won a Bronco Sport, which will be delivered within 1-2 days.

📢 Last Week of the 6 Weeks: Check Grades on Home Access Center 📢

This is the last week of the 6-week grading period, and we encourage all of our students to take advantage of tutoring during Tiger Time. Parents, please check the Home Access Center and communicate with your child's teachers if you have any questions about current grades. Let’s finish this 6-week period strong by ensuring good communication and understanding of where your child stands with their grades and attendance.

🎫November 5th is Election Day 📦

Mary Carroll High School will serve as a voting site for this year's general election.Voting will take place on TUesday, November 5th at Carroll from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voting is in the Teaching Theater and you can enter on the Kostory side. Look for the VOTE HERE signs!

📅 Night Quest Continues for Invited Students 📅

Night Quest sessions for invited students begin this week to support their success in course recovery, STAAR EOC Retesting support, and help with TSI/SAT/ACT/PSAT preparation.

🗓️ Fall Night Quest Dates:

Mondays: 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18
Wednesdays: 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20

⏰ Time: 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Parents and students in grades 7-9 are invited to a special event to learn more about CCISD’s high school programs and the district’s programs of choice. This is a great opportunity for students and families to explore the various educational pathways available.
