NMSHS PANTHER POST
September 22, 2023
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE - Mr. Goodrich
Nederland Middle-Senior HS Community,
As the leaves change color by the day, it is a bittersweet time of the year. I am in love with the summers in Colorado, especially up here in the mountains. At the same time, I am a little sad that we are about to face 8ish months of wintery weather; but I do enjoy the skiing and all of the beauty the winter brings. An important aspect of fall here at school is the tradition of homecoming. Many of us remember our own experiences for homecoming while we were in high school. It is a great opportunity to build community and belonging for our students. The students at Nederland Middle-Senior High School really get into the activities and events that take place throughout the week. There are plenty of things that are planned for next week.
For details about the homecoming week’s themes, activities, games and events see the HoCo Events and Spirit Week flyers. The highlight of the week is the parade next Saturday morning (I am sure the leaf-peepers won’t mind a little traffic jam in town on Saturday). The high school floats take-off from the Teen Center at 11:00am. Check out the parade route and get out in town to cheer on the floats. There is a BBQ starting at 12:00 on the High School Field and the homecoming soccer game is at 1:30 (the Panther Volleyball game is played Friday evening at 5:00pm)
No School on Monday, September 25.
Have a great weekend!
