π Peach State Tour π
GHS will be hosting the Peach State Tour September 17th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in our school gym presented by Augusta University, Georgia State University, UGA, and Georgia Tech. We will also have the Georgia Student Finance Commission on hand to provide information about college funding. We are inviting all 11th and 12th grade students to register for this event to receive admissions' information.
Purpose
The Peach State Tour was launched in the early 2000s by the University of Georgia (UGA) and Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) to extend the reach of Georgiaβs top research institutions. Today, the program includes all four Research 1 institutions in GeorgiaβAugusta University, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, and UGAβalong with the Georgia Student Finance Commission. The PST provides an opportunity for Georgians to engage directly with representatives from these institutions.
This year, the program features approximately 15 in-person events between late August and the end of September, strategically located within 75 miles of every Georgian.
