Wow!! We can't believe the school year has come to an end. Thank you for sharing your child(ren) with all of us here at TLA. Please know that the time we get to spend with them, whether it is in the classroom, on the playground, in the cafeteria, or on field trips, is impactful to each of us. Your partnership this school year helped make it the success it was!! THANK YOU!


As we look ahead to 2024-2025 school year, we are excited that we will have all grades (4K-12) and are already starting to plan for ways that we can take what we've learned this year and continue with our growth mindset. Our focus will continue to be creating opportunities for rigorous academics, career exploration and character development that will help scholars find joy and grow each and every day!!

Athletics

Sports Physicals

As we transition into the summer break, we urge our scholars to utilize this time to complete their sports physicals for the upcoming school year. A sports physical is a mandatory requirement every two years to maintain eligibility for athletics in 6th-12th grade. For the second year, an 'alternate year card' is necessary. Please note that current physicals are compulsory for participation in open gyms as well.


WIAA sports physical paperwork must be completed as well as having the physical and the paperwork can be located HERE under "Athletic Forms"


While you can schedule your physical with your own provider, Beloit Health Systems is offering sports physicals for students in 7th grade and older on Wednesday, August 2, at Beloit Memorial High School. To register, follow this link: Beloit Health System Sport Physicals.


Fall Sport Sign Up

Fall sports sign-up will be open from July 15th through August 18th. The sign-up link will be on the school website in the athletic section, in the school newsletter, and emailed to families. To be eligible to sign up, you will need a current physical (or alternate year card) and all past-due fees paid on your scholar account.

Quarter 4 Attendance Winners Celebrations & Final Numbers

This week we celebrated the many achievements of our scholars in each of the Quarter 4 awards ceremonies. For all scholars who met the 95% attendance goal for quarter 4, their names were entered into a live prize drawing that took place at the assemblies. The drawing is always a fun and exciting experience for scholars. Congratulations to the following scholars who won on the 95% of Attendance Wheel of Names:'


  • Vince Moore (K4), Saoirse Weyker (K5), Evan Thompson (1st),
  • Camila Portillo (2nd), Adriana Martinez (3rd), Kendall Bennett (4th),
  • Titan Miller (6th), Serenity Zimmerman (7th), Alexa Tapia (8th),
  • Kaylanie Catano (9th), Cameron Bridges-Mayfield (10th), and Evelyn Hayward (11th)


We also want to give a special shoutout to four scholars at TLA who had 100% ATTENDANCE FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR. This means no absences, no early pick-ups, and no tardies. This is quite a feat to the scholars and families who met this special milestone. The four scholars with 100% attendance for the 23-24 school year are:


  • Jamari Clayton (1st), Natalie Hernandez (3rd), Deagan Nugent (4th), and Luis Hernandez (8th).


Our “unofficial” (meaning the data still needs a final review) TLA attendance percentage for this school year is 93.94%. This is a 0.06% increase from the previous week. Although we didn’t reach our 95% goal this school year, we should feel very proud for several reasons.


  1. We saw increases every single week since we first started sharing out the data in the newsletters on April 26th.
  2. We are at a higher year-end attendance percentage this school year than the previous year. (92.96% this time last year vs 93.94% this year)
  3. We are still BEATING THE STATE percentage and setting high standards here at TLA!

TLA Summer Hours

The school will be closed for summer break Monday, June 17th and reopen Monday, July 8th. Summer hours are 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Healthy meals for kids and teens will be available for FREE at TLA July 10th-August 2nd!!


  • Breakfast: 8:00-8:30 am
  • Lunch: 12:00-12:30 pm
