Trojan Times Elementary Update
For the FINAL time of the 23-24 School Year
THANK YOU
Gratitude
Thank you for a WONDERFUL 23-24 school year! I am so thankful to work in this community that honors education with love and support. Your children have left a positive impact on my life. Even though it's not always easy, the kids make my every day enjoyable. I take the responsibility of being their principal seriously, and I hope I have positively impacted their lives as much as they have mine.
This year they have taught me about compassion, hard work, generosity, kindness, service, and love. I could probably go on and on, because each and everyone of them brings a unique skill set and story to our school community. They lift me up and give me the energy to bring my best on a daily basis.
Their year was filled with learning. We have a talented staff that pours as much love and learning as possible into their daily routines. With your support, we have challenged our students to grow and learn in ways that they didn't know were possible. The results were staggering. From preschool through fifth grade, students excelled beyond our expectations. It was amazing to watch their maturation take place before our very eyes.
Most importantly, our students learned this year what it means to be a leader and a role model. While I'm proud of all of our students, I have to give a special shoutout to our 4th and 5th graders for the work they did as Big Buddies for our preschool, begindergarten, and kindergarten students. Watching our older students connect with our littles was incredible. They helped them through the rough mornings where they missed mom and dad, and celebrated the achievements and successes in the classrooms. They were there every morning to hold their hand and help them start their day in a positive way. This servant leadership will hopefully serve them well as they transition to the Middle School and beyond. Looking out for and caring for others is a lesson I hope they will take with them always; it impacted our culture in a HUGE way this year!
In closing, thank you once again for all of your support! We couldn't do what we do here without you. It takes a village to raise a child and collectively we are making a difference. I hope everyone can find some time to relax and enjoy the summer doing the things that they love to do. Remember to save a little time to read some books and practice some flashcards. August will be here before we know it :)
