Dear Families,
So wonderful to see so many of you at the Art Show and Book Fair. The art projects our students created were certainly impressive. Thank you to Ms. Lam for instructing our students in preparing their masterpieces and organizing this great event. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped mount work.
Thank you to all of those who volunteered to ensure we had a successful field day! A special thanks to Ms. Kivi for organizing such fun events.
Thank you Ye family for the sweet treats on Thursday.
June 12th, Wednesday is the last day of school for all students. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.
Clap Out:
We will be bidding our 4th graders a warm farewell with the Center School traditional Clap Out on Wednesday. Grade four students will walk down the hallway to the clapping of students and staff. Grade four families are welcome to clap and greet their children as they exit the building in the designated area by the kindergarten wing at 11:30. Grade four parents should proceed directly to the outside bus dismissal area by kindergarten and see your fourth grade teacher to sign out your child if they are not taking the bus home. If you are picking up another child you will need to enter the building through the front door and proceed to the cafe. Be sure to have your golden pick up ticket available.
Parking by the baseball fields behind town hall and walking through the path is always an option as parking will be tight.
Move up Day for K-3:
On the last day of school, we have a "Move Up Day" where students get to meet their new teacher and classmates for the upcoming year. This day is designed to help students transition smoothly and alleviate any anxiety they may have about the next school year. Students will come home with a welcome letter from their new teacher. Please check your child's backpack for this information. Please be assured that we take a great amount of pride in making sure that placement is completed with care and the interests of each individual child in mind and took your placement feedback into account as was feasible. We ask that you assist us with reassuring your child that whoever they have for a teacher next year will be a positive experience.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in this process. If you submitted a placement letter by the May 6th deadline and we were not able to accommodate your requests, you may reach out after July 1st to share your concerns. Thank you for your partnership in making this transition as smooth as possible.

Attention 4th Grade Families
Dear Rising Fifth Grade Families,
We hope that you and your students are enjoying the end of the year celebrations and activities. Parker Middle school is very excited to welcome your students. At the middle school level, Parker & McCarthy PTOs work collaboratively to provide activities for all students and families. We are working hard to support transitions and to build a strong community across our middle schools. Our last meeting of the school year is on Monday, June 10th @ 5:30 in the McCarthy library. At our final meeting, we will be having board elections, presenting our CHS senior scholarship, and discussing activities for the fall.
There are lots of different ways to get involved at the middle school level. Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to: board positions, book fair committee, enrichment coordinator, staff appreciation, STEAM Fair, craft fair and more. We would love for parents/caregivers to pop in, hear about our activities and answer any questions.
Sincerely,
Alysun Kenney
Parker PTO President
