🎓 Happy End-of-the-Year to All! 🎓
Another school year is over and teachers have said their goodbyes -- But before we go, just a recap of all the great work you've done with your grants this year. Plus a congratulatory note to new grant winner Stacy Kubu who just won a Family Literacy Grant from Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Congratulations to ALL the teams for their excellent work in the competitions all year and many thanks to Bosch for their support of robotics education in Anderson Five.
🥁ACIG Equitable Arts Advancement Program in action 🎼
The Arts Curricular Innovation Grant (ACIG) Equitable Arts Advancement Program has been awarded two years in a row to Whitehall's Erica Wells and Homeland Park's Lindsay Morgan. This year, the funds purchased drums at Whitehall and ukeleles at HPPS. The State's Office of Assessment and Standards oversees this competitive grant and the criteria of matching standards to classroom activities is rigorous. Congratulations to both teachers for two years of excellence in grant writing! The ACIG grant has been renamed this year to the Arts Enhancement Program and all eligible Title 1 funded schools may apply. The application is open until June 3 with a link below. 👇
A5 Reads To Babies and YOU!
And finally, a big thank you to the employees of Anderson Five for their contributions to the #A5Reads2Babies program sponsoring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for our future students age 0-5. To date, 7719 books have been mailed out into the Anderson Five community. While new grants have been awarded, the Anderson Five family remains the biggest champion of the program! Please consider adding your "Buck and a Nickel (or more)" contribution which will be deducted from your bi-monthly paychecks. Just $1.05 per paycheck will support a child for an entire year. 📚
