Charger Check-In
November 7, 2024
A Note from Ms. Owens
We had another great week at St. Catherine! Our first graders took part in voting to choose which was better - traditional Oreos or golden Oreos. (It was a split decision!) Our eighth graders are reading The Outsiders. Our second graders are perfecting their penmanship. Our fourth graders are preparing for a test on plate tectonics in science. Our PK3 and PK4 students met Fr. Matt in the chapel to talk about gratitude.
Thank you to everyone who donated money in our dress down day to support the American Red Cross' Disaster Relief Fund. Through your generosity, St. Catherine sent a check for over $490.00. Thank you especially to three of our 5th graders - Clark F., Joey R. and Finn C. - who approached me with this idea to help those terribly affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The boys got some help from an older sibling in designing the graphic. They visited classrooms to collect the money and they spent time during lunch and recess to count all the money donated. Kudos to them!
