BHS Art Student Community Spotlights!
Toby Everett Showing at The Cordial Eye!
Toby and The Cordial Eye are a match made in heaven! Toby's Techno Witch character designs "evoke the feeling of impossibility beyond the Earth through expressive characters that can create their own narratives." The show will be up during the May 4th Cod Con (a sweet local comic convention) so a great time to check out both! Everlasting thanks to Anastaci Pacella for being a next level community partner!
BHS Art Student Community Spotlights! Taylor Foley! Cape Symphony!
The BHS ART Student Spotlight train chugs along with Taylor Foley's mesmerizing work exploring the impact of music education on herself and so many other young people. And could we ask for a better fitting showcase location than the offices of our friends at The Cape Symphony? No we could not. Huge thanks to Education Director Jen Rabold for making it happen!
Also check out the thoughtful and moving letter in The Cape Symphony Newsletter from Director Michael Albaugh about Taylor's work. We believe we're all better when we share and connect our passions so huge thanks to Mike! Let's keep the conversation going!
Elliott Brown! Documentary on their BHS Artist Spotlight!
Elliott's awesome show at Long Pasture Audubon is now a short documentary on their work! Check it out and huge thanks to The Audubon folks, and Travis Richards, Noreen Jones and Brianna Brann for producing the short! It's a confluence of superstars!
Congratulations!
Elliott Brown! National Scholastic Gold Medal Winner!!!
Speaking of Elliott, we just learned that he won a crazy prestigious NATIONAL Scholastic Gold Key for his Sweet Bear Pot! The Scholastic Art Awards received over 310,000 entrees from across America and Canada and only a few hundred were awarded National Gold Metals! For the math folks out there, that's less than 0.3%! Additionally, he has been invited to the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in NYC! Congrats again Elliott!
What have those crazy Art Students been Making!?!
