Richardson Elementary

We had an exciting week at Richardson! Our 3rd grade classes had a special visit from the Raptor Center, where they learned all about birds of prey. Meanwhile, students in grades 3–5 showed focus and perseverance as they completed their MCA Reading assessments—great job, everyone!

Earlier in the week, Community Dental was on-site, providing dental care to many of our students. We are grateful for this partnership and the support it brings to our school community. In addition, all students participated in our Severe Weather Drill and did an excellent job following safety procedures.

Over the weekend of April 5th and 6th, several of our talented Richardson students performed in Ashland Productions' play PRESS START! This experience showcased their creativity, collaboration, communication, and confidence. We’re so proud of our student actors for their hard work and dedication!

Looking ahead, students will take the MCA Math assessments this week. We’re confident they’ll do great with continued encouragement and support! You can refer to ISD622's MCA parent/guardian information letter for important reminders and tips in preparation for these assessments.

Last Wednesday, many students and staff joined in the fun of "Camouflage Day," and this week we’re looking forward to seeing some bold choices for our optional "Print & Patterns Day" on Wednesday, April 16th.
