What's New? Our SPS Activity Bus "Go Pass"
In support of student activity and athletics participation, the SPS Transportation department will be implementing the "Go Pass". The new bus pass system will help to assist and provide better accountability and safety for all students utilizing school bus transportation during after-school hours. The Go pass is specifically for students utilizing the after-school activity bus. Students who use the activity bus only to go to and from games, competitions, events etc. along with their teammates, or fellow members, DO NOT need a Go pass.
Goals of the "Go Pass":
Ensure students are riding the correct bus and route for activity to activity drop off points.
Provide clear information to parents as to the proper utilization of and expectations for after-school transportation.
Support drivers by providing them with student rosters to help eliminate “bus stowaways” and the ability to identify students by name.
Increase the accountability of student behavior.
Combat truancy by eliminating students who skip school and ride the activity bus home.
