Parents, the annual window for Gifted and Talented (GT) referrals will open from December 1 - January 17 for students currently in Kindergarten and December 1 - January 31 for students currently in grades 1-12.

GT services are provided for identified students in grades K-12.

• Students currently in kindergarten who are identified for GT services will begin services in February 2025.

• Students currently in grades 1-11 who are identified for GT services will begin services in the fall of 2025.

• The decision of the GT placement committee will be sent to parents via email the first week of February for students currently in kindergarten and the first week of June for students currently in grades 1-12.

Hello Brock Families,
My name is Mackenzie Welch, and I am thrilled to join Brock Elementary as your new school counselor! I look forward to getting to know each of the wonderful students, staff, and families here, and I am eager to contribute to a positive and supportive school environment.

With 8 years of experience in education, I have worked as both an elementary and middle school teacher, teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades. I also have a background in coaching volleyball and basketball. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and a Master's in School Counseling from Lubbock Christian University.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Fort Worth area from Midland, TX, and we are excited to start this new chapter with our three beloved pets.
