Luce Notes
Principal Weekly Update to Caregivers
Principal Lamour Update
I hope you are enjoying this long weekend. This week is a four day week. On Monday, we will recognize Indigenous People Day, and school will be closed. This week we will host the play auditions on October 16th & 17th for our 4th and 5th grade students, and we will have our inaugural Flashback Dance on Friday at the Luce.
Please read the following updates for this week's Luce Notes.
- Safe Driving In and Out of our parking lot. The safety of everyone in and around our school parking lot is a top priority. Recently, there have been multiple reports of near accidents and unsafe driving behavior within our school community. These incidents put our students, your children, and other family members at risk.
Please be mindful of pedestrians, including families walking to school, and exercise caution when driving in the parking lot. To help ensure safety, parking lot cones will be in place to guide traffic. We kindly ask that you follow the designated traffic flow and avoid driving around the cones.
Together, we can create a safer environment for everyone.

Nurse Bonner's Nifty Notes
October is Pedestrian Safety Month. This toolkit and Community Resource Guide offers some valuable information. Walking to and from school can be great exercise, bonding time with your child and help reduce the traffic on our roads and at our schools. Too far from the school to walk? Try taking a walk afterschool around your neighborhood or at our local track to get those legs moving. Talk to your child about road/pedestrian safety
Reminder! If your child has an updated physical please email (bonnerc@cantonma.org), fax(781-575-6505) or bring in a hard copy for me . It should be dated on or after 9/1/2023. It is required to be in compliance with Massachusetts General Law to receive periodic written documentation of their current physical.
