Hello Newport High Families,
What a great week and what an amazing day!! We had a great K-12 Veterans Day Assembly at the high school today. Big Shout Out to our High School Band and Choir under the direction of Mr. Munson, our amazing 3rd graders under the direction of Mr. Brownell, special guest singer 3rd grader Josie Moser accompanied by Mr. Bowman and our High School Leadership students under the direction of Mr. Burnham. The program was spectacular.
The Biggest Shout Out goes to the numerous Veterans who joined us in person today. Thank you all for your sacrifice for this country and providing our freedom!

Veterans Day Assembly
First Trimester Finals
As the end of the 1st Trimester is getting close, please note that we will have finals on November 15-17. The daily class schedule will remain the same, but Finals will be given in specific classes on specific days.
Wednesday, November 15th - 1st & 4th Period Finals
Thursday, November 16th - 2nd & 5th Period Finals
Friday, November 17th - 3rd Period Finals
2022-23 Yearbook - The Bruin
The Newport High School yearbook staff has won the National Scholastic Press First Place Award for the 2023 Bruin yearbook. This marks the third year in a row that the yearbook staff has achieved this award. The award is given for strength of design, writing, photography, equity of coverage, and overall quality. The yearbook staff aims to continue their work at a high standard. Thank you to all who have supported the yearbook and its student staff members!

Winter Workouts
Winter workouts will be starting November 27th and will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm - 4:30pm. These workouts will focus on speed, agility, strength and stability. All students are welcome to attend.

Do you have any dressy black shoes, black pants or black button-up shirts that are sitting in a closet collecting dust? Maybe even a black suit that hasn't been worn in years?
We are collecting concert clothes to give to music students in need so we can all look our finest for our upcoming performances.
All sizes, men's and women's appreciated. Please drop by all clean items to the high school, and Mr. Munson will add them to our inventory. Thank you!

Grizzly Adventure Club
The Grizzly Adventure Club had their second adventure. They played capture the flag on the Lower Wolf trails. Twenty three students participated in this event. We will be planning more events, so stay tuned. If you would like your child to join this club, reach out to Lisa Bradbury at bradburylisa@newportgriz.com.

Mrs. Bradbury is offering Homework Help!!!
Before School Study Table will be every morning except Wednesday. It will start at 7:30 and go until school starts.
Lunch Study Table will be Monday-Friday.
After School Study Table will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All study tables will be in room 120. Reach out to Mrs. Bradbury for more information. Any changes will be announced in the Daily Bulletin.
