EGE Dolphin Update
March

A Note from the Principal
We have some exciting things coming up this month! March will be Attendance Awareness Month here at El Granada. Addressing chronic absence is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement and giving young people the best chance at success in their adult life. More information will be coming out over the next few weeks. Students will receive prices and incentives the more frequently they attend school and arrive on time.
Friday, March 1st is National Read Across America Day. Join us in the MU at 7:45 for Wake Up and Read sponsored by the PTO. Students will also participate in some great author assemblies on this day.
Conference week is March 11th througth the 15th. Please remember that these are minimum days for ALL students this week with a 12:55 release time. Your child's teacher should be reaching out to you regarding conference appointments. Please make it a priority to connect with your child's teacher during conference week. We value your partnership. It is important to discuss your child's progress and collaborate with one another.
We have some exciting assemblies coming up this month: author visits from Cynthia Wiley and Shawn Harris, Wast Sorting/Recycling assembly, and the Mobile Dairy Classroom.
Arts and Sciences week takes place April 1-5. We can't wait!
Don't forget, the Talent Show is Friday March, 8 at 6:00. Come see our students showcase their talents.
As always, I am greatful for this amazing El Granada Community.
With Gratitude,
Erin O'Connor-Brown
