The TVHS Formal

ALL of the GOLDEN BEAR 9th and 10th graders are invited to FORMAL on Saturday, February 22. The upperclassmen might be jealous, but this dance is just for YOU, though you are allowed to bring a 11th or 12th grade TVHS guest. Temecula Valley is the only school in the valley that has a formal dance in the spring where underclassmen are welcome. This VIP event is just for our Golden Bears.

The most requested events are more school dances ... here it is. This one is going to be out of the world.

* Every TVHS dance attendee needs a completed permission slip right HERE.

** You'll need a ticket for the dance. Purchase yours for $55 ($45 with a GOLD CARD). The deadline for presale is THURS, FEB 20.

*** Non-TVHS guests are NOT allowed at the dance. Underclassmen are allowed to bring TVHS 11th & 12th grade students as guests. They'll need to purchase at the Bookkeeping window together.

Tickets are currently on sale at the TVHS Bookkeeping window before school, during Break, during Lunch, and after school. You can also log into the TVHS WebStore. Keep in mind, that all upperclassmen tickets MUST be purchase directly at the Bookkeeping window.

TICKETS ARE $55 or $45 with a GOLD CARD.

* Prices will increase by $10 at the door.

Each attendee must have a permission slip for the dance completed by a parent of guardian. You can find the form right HERE.

Yes, current 9th & 10th grade TVHS students can buy a ticket when you arrive. Cash is preferred. The ticket prices will be $65 or $55 with a GOLD CARD. There will be a separate line at check-in for those that need to purchase a ticket. Please keep in mind that any 11th or 12th grade guest tickets MUST be purchased before that Thursday prior.

Students and parents often ask what they should wear that evening. Most students will wear a long dress or slacks, button-up, and tie following the TVUSD dress code. We do recommend wearing comfortable dancing shoes. Often students change after photos that afternoon into shoes ready for the dance floor. It's NOT a black tie event. Tuxes are not necessary.

We always have lots to do at our dances and THE FORMAL will be no different. Of course, there will be lots of music and dancing, but even more there will be other activities and games to participate in. We'll have snacks, treats, and photo opportunities.

We've got LASER TAG, GLOW-IN-THE-DARK GAMES, A CRAFT for some chill time with your friends. Snacks will include the best CHURROS you've ever had, FRUIT KABOBS, and MORE.

Everything is included once inside the dance.

Our underclassmen Golden Bears are allowed to bring a upperclassmen GUEST. ALL guest tickets MUST be purchased at the Bookkeeping window by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20. When purchasing, the host and the guest MUST be present. Non-TVHS students are NOT allowed at the Formal.

Students will check in at the front of the BIG GYM. All students should be prepared to show their school ID on 5-Star. No need for a tangible paper ticket.

The dance is completely indoor in the BIG GYM. You can line up in front of doors. We recommend getting dropped off in the Senior Lot.

Yes, there will be a coat check available for students that need to store items during the dance. Perhaps you don't want to your jacket or phone. Coat check is there for you!

BAGS WILL BE CHECKED WHEN YOU ENTER. ONLY BRING A BAG IF YOU ABSOLUTLEY NEED IT.

It's TV's dance policy that students are allowed to enter at any point before 8:30PM on that Saturday and students cannot leave prior to an hour before the dance lets out (9PM). There's no re-entry either. We're excited to have you at the dance.

* Please remember that all school rules still apply at dances and other school functions.

In order to get into the dance you just need to show your school ID on 5-Star. No need for a tangible paper ticket or money (unless you're puchasing a ticket at the door). Once instead the dance, everything is including in the price. We ask that you not bring a bag, though there will be coat check if you need to drop off a jacket or stash anything you grab at the dance. We always recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
