Hello Mackeben Families,

September is Attendance Awareness Month

Has your student missed 2 or more days of school per month? As we continue promoting our "Your Presence is Your Power" attendance campaign, here are some facts and important considerations about student attendance.

Shining Bright - Stars of the Week!!!!

Thank you to our PTA Board for organizing and putting on a fun and profitable Square Barn Shuffle!!! Your dedication to our students and schools does not go unnoticed!!!

Katie Kubon - President

Katie has been actively involved with PTA for the last three years and a board member for the last two. She has served as class mom, at class parties and volunteered at several events. She is a proud wife and mom to a 4th grader at Conley. She has become close friends with teachers, staff and community members and loves working with them all.

Ashley Lauer - Mackeben Vice-President & Treasurer

Ashley has been a member of PTA since 2020, when her son entered kindergarten. He will now be in 4th grade at Conley. She finds so much joy in helping students and teachers love learning and their school environment. Besides being a busy mom, Ashley is a therapist for Illinois Early Intervention and has a passion for working with children and families.

Kim Fekete - Conley Vice-President

Kim has been on the board as Secretary for the last two years. She is looking forward to her new VP role. This is her last year as a Conley parent and wants to enjoy every minute of it. She is also an educator, coach and mom and is looking forward to supporting the SBPTA.

Mary Kaye - Secretary

Mary is currently a stay at home mom, but was a teacher for many years. She has two children, one at Conley and one at Mackeben. She frequently volunteers in the Mackeben library and is excited to be part of the SBPTA this year.

It's time for the Mackeben Elementary School Read-A-Thon!!!

Would you like to win an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney Theme Park for your family? We'd love to make that dream come true!

Our school is holding a Read-A-Thon Fundraiser, and it's a fantastic opportunity for your child to raise money while enjoying their favorite books.

As a special bonus, any child who sends 10 text messages through their dashboard to promote our fundraiser will automatically be entered into a nationwide drawing for a magical trip for four to Walt Disney Theme Park.

We'll select one lucky winner each season from all the Read-A-Thons held during that season.
