Colin’s Joy Project Playground Grand Opening
Our second through fourth graders were invited to join Colin’s Joy Project in opening the new playground at Farragut Park on Wednesday afternoon, November 15th. Students were so excited to get an opportunity to celebrate the grand opening and – of course – to try out the new playgrounds with their friends. A huge congratulations and thank you to Colin’s Joy Project and the McGrath Family for their very hard work to bring this awesome new resource to the South Boston Community!
BPS Intramural Championships
Many of our upper grade students traveled to White Stadium (Franklin Park) on Tuesday to participate in the Fall Intramural Championships. Our Flag Football Team scored an emphatic two-touchdown win over Winthrop Elementary in the first game before dropping a heartbreaker to the Perkins School in their second game. Our Flag Football team members were: CJ Fenton, Evelyn Sheehan, Emmett Lydon, Ryan Adams, Ella Walsh, Emerson Lombard, Jack Conrad, Cade Scahllmo, Finn McBride, PJ DiMaggio, Michael Banchick, Cooper Ward, and David Byrne.
Our cross country runners also excelled on the one mile course! Congratulations to Juliette Byrne, Ben Hebert, Chris Murray, Finley Jefferson-Mitchell, and Ava Rollins, who all finished near the front of the pack!
