UPDATE-Solar Panels at Eastview
Update: The solar panels were not able to be installed on Friday, April 19 due to the windy day on Friday. They are planning on returning to Eastview at some point to complete the installation. We will send a text to update families on the day they are here installing them to guide you in how to access the building. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
ISD 194 is using local grant monies to invest in solar panels at multiple schools across Lakeville. On Friday, April 19 solar panels will be delivered to Eastview. A crane will move panels to the roof and may be using the main entrance sidewalk during the school day. If you're coming to Eastview during the day on Friday, April 19, please pack your patience and watch for signs if foot or vehicle traffic has to be re-directed.
Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA)
Lakeville Area Schools will be participating in the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) this Spring. Students in Grade 3 through Grade 11 will take the Math, Reading and/or Science assessment during the window of March 4 through May 10.
Lakeville Area Schools along with all Minnesota school districts give the MCAs every year to measure the achievement on the Minnesota Academic Standards as well as academic progress of students over time. These assessments meet the state and federal accountability requirements per Minnesota Statute 120B.30 and ESEA. Parents/guardians can review their child’s respective school website calendar for specific assessment dates.
Individual student results will be distributed to families in Fall 2024.
District-wide and school building results can be found on the Minnesota Department of Education website under the Minnesota Report Card.
The MCAs represent one data point within the District’s comprehensive assessment framework.

Well Deserved Wednesday March and April Winners!
March Winners:
Amanda aka “Nelson” is a part of an amazing team of paras at EVE. She is very in tune with the students that she supports. She pushes when they need pushing and knows when limits have been met. She is the perfect mix of silly and firm. You can tell she truly loves what she does and words will never fully express how important her work is to the success of our son.
Mrs. Noreault’s enthusiasm for her job pours into her students. She is so encouraging and truly makes our kids excited about STEM. I noticed she was one of our amazing staff members to help at Family Fun Night once again showing her love for our school and kids.
Mrs. Lyons goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for her students. She understands that each child is unique and works tirelessly to tailor her teaching approach to meet the individual needs of each student. Whether through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, or creative projects, she ensures that every child in her classroom feels valued and supported in their learning journey. One of the things that truly sets Katie apart is her unwavering commitment to fostering a love for learning in her students. She goes the extra mile to make learning fun and engaging, incorporating games, songs, and storytelling into her lessons to capture her students' imaginations and ignite their curiosity. By instilling a passion for learning at such a young age, she is laying the foundation for lifelong academic success. Furthermore, Mrs. Lyons is a true collaborator and team player. She actively seeks out opportunities to collaborate with her colleagues, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices to enhance the educational experience for all students. Her positive attitude and willingness to support her fellow teachers make her a valued member of our school community. She leads by example, modeling empathy, integrity, and kindness in all of her interactions with students, parents, and colleagues alike. Her dedication to her profession and her students is truly inspiring and serves as a shining example for others to follow.
April Winners:
The kids have always loved Mr. Schell, but seeing him, first hand, during the recent concerts, left my husband and I super impressed! He treats the kids wonderfully, teaches them, and respects them and in turn, the kids truly admire him.
Katie Keene works above and beyond to keep students safe in the building, often not taking a full lunch. She is a huge asset to our entire school!
