BSPS Mall Day - Friday, March 28th 12:00-1:20 pm
BSPS Mall/Centre dβachat Day is coming on March 28!!!! For those that have not experienced βMall Dayβ our school will become a mall filled with stores for the students to shop in. All proceeds from this teacher led fundraiser will go toward lowering end of year trip costs.
Tickets will be sold the day of Mall/Centre dβachat Day (so donβt send money until March 28th) and all purchases will be made with these tickets. Tickets are 15 for $15. With 15 tickets students will be able to experience most of the activities in the mall, time permitting. Single tickets will be on sale in the office while the Mall is open for $1 each, for those students who run out of tickets. Any unused tickets cannot be redeemed for cash. We suggest sending your child with a reusable grocery bag for their shopping.
Mall Day will be on Friday, March 28th from 12:00 - 1:20. Here is a list of all the stores in our BSPS Mall:

Blue Jays Challenger Baseball!
Blue Jays Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program, run in partnership with Little League Canada and Baseball Canada, where kids living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities find a place on a team where they belong. The program teaches athletes the core life skills inherent to baseball, including teamwork, communication, determination, resiliency, inclusion, support and courage. Challenger Baseball ensures athletes of all abilities have the opportunity to play in a fun and safe environment where they learn to become more independent, build confidence, and create lasting friendships with their peers. Thank you Mrs. Rice for organizing this once again for our BSPS students!

Parent/Guardian Updates
If you have a change in dismissal routine for your child, at the end of the school day, it is very important to call the office first! We will then communicate this change to the classroom teacher. Thank you!
Also, please try to avoid buzzing the office and picking up your child(ren) between 3:15 - 3:30 each day. This is our busiest and most hectic time of day with busses being loaded and organizing students for Kiss and Ride. Thank you for your consideration.

Playground Upgrades ...
https://kprdsb.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/4/100/false/true?school=575&initiative=3
Our school is in need of some Playground upgrades! We would love to replace the pea gravel in the Kindergarten Yard with safer EWF (engineered wood fibre), and also add a Funnel Ball hoop to our Primary Yard. We would also love to re-paint the designs on our pavement areas. School Council is supporting us with this initiative. We have added a Link to SCO (school cash online) whereby families, community members, and staff, can make donations to this great cause! Above, is a link which will be open all year round.
When you donate through this link, you will automatically receive a Tax Receipt as itβs a charitable donation.
Donors do not have to have a School Cash Online Account with the new Credit Card Online Payment Option β you can log in as a guest.
Donations received through this link will be held at the Board Office in a Beatrice Strong Charitable Donation G/L 86-916-1-105-965. We appreciate any donations! Thank you!

Ontario Ministry of Education PPM 128
As you may have already heard, new provincial government legislation has resulted in changes to the use of personal mobile devices in schools (laptop, cellphone, tablet or smart watch).
In order to ensure a focused and engaging learning environment, all personal mobile devices are to be out of view and powered off during the entire instructional day (9:10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) including both Nutrition Breaks.
