HBMS Beginning Band will have it's Winter concert December 12th from 5:30-6:15 at HBMS (not listed on the below flyer due to a last minute date change).
Reminder - Early Release for Students 12/11
LTISD has an Early Release day this Wednesday December 11th. Hudson Bend students will be released at 12:50pm.
- Elementary School Early Release - 11:40 am
- Middle and High School Early Release - 12:50 pm

HBMS Midterm Schedule
What are midterms?
Midterms are a type of assessment that will cover material from the entire semester.
They are worth 10% of the student’s semester grade.
Every class will administer a midterm assessment.
Retakes will not be permitted for midterm exams (per the LTISD Grading Policy)
When are midterms?
Midterms will take place Tuesday, December 17th - Friday, December 20th.
Students will take 1-2 midterms each day based on class period.
Early/Makeup Exams
Students should be present December 17th-20th to take midterm exams.
Students cannot take their midterm exams early.
Makeup exams will be on January 6th at 9am in the library.
Naviance Introduction to Parents
We are excited to introduce you to Naviance Student – a comprehensive website that you and your student can use to make plans about colleges, and careers. Naviance Student is linked with Naviance, a service that we use in our office to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that’s specific to our school.
Naviance Student allows your student to:
Exploration with Self-Discovery – Complete a number of Self-Discovery assessments in Naviance to learn about interests and best-fit careers.
Research careers – After taking career assessments, students research hundreds of careers and career clusters.
Create goals for the future – Create goals and to-dos, and complete tasks assigned by the school to better prepare your student for future college and career goals.
Naviance Student also lets us share information with you and your student about upcoming meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other resources for college and career information.
Your student can now access Naviance Student via ClassLink.

Homework Help is a quiet work session facilitated by faculty members for students to get help with and complete class assignments. Please see the details below:

Homework Help Expectations
- Personal smart devices are not allowed to be used during this time.
- School work only - no games or socializing
- Remain in Homework Help entirety of assigned time
- Leaving early requires teacher to speak with parent

What is the Buc Lounge?
A place where any and all students are welcome to “shop” confidentially for free items they need.
What does the Buc Lounge include?
Food, personal care items, clothing, shoes, and school supplies.
