This Week at CCES
July 29 - August 2
Our campus attendance goal is 97%
Dear Cub Parents,
We are very excited about the new school year! I am sending this email to remind you that August 8th is New Family Orientation from 4:30-5:00 p.m. in the cafeteria and Meet the Teacher is from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
We want to start the first day of school just like every other day of the year. At CCES, students do not report to their classrooms at the beginning of the day. Instead, between 7:00-7:25 a.m. they do the following:
Students eating breakfast (PK-5th grade) report to the cafeteria for their meal.
PK, Kindergarten, and 1st graders all report to the cafeteria (even if they ate breakfast at home). They will sit at their assigned tables.
2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders all report to their classroom hallway.
There is supervision in all areas. At the first bell (7:25 a.m.), the teachers pick up their students and escort them to class. No one has to figure out how to get to their classrooms because the teachers and duty personnel assist the children and walk them to class.
Pre-K and Kinder First Day of School Walk-In Procedure
We know that the first day of school is an exceptional time for everyone, especially for students who have never been to school. Parents of our PreK and Kinder students can drop off their child curbside through the drive-through before 7:35 a.m. or walk them to their classroom at 8:00 a.m.
We want to thank the parents and guardians of students in our upper grades for understanding that we cannot safely extend this opportunity to all grade levels. If you are a parent or guardian of a Pre-K or Kinder student and would like to walk your child to their classroom on the first day, please complete the guest pre-check-in form linked below.
PreK and Kinder Walk-in:
Complete the guest pre-check-in form for each guest (Limit 2 adults):

Information collected will only be used to grant access to the above named event. If you are declined during the pre-check in process, you will be notified by email and or phone. BISD utilizes the Raptor Visitor Management System at each of our campuses. The system assists us by managing the screening and access of our visitors and guests. Your cooperation is appreciated. (You will receive a confirmation email that your pre-check-in process is complete confirming your entrance.
